Types of membership
Any person interested in the study of zoology is eligible to apply for ordinary membership.
Any person who is interested in the study of zoology and is a student at a university.
Post-doctoral Research Fellow
Any person, within 5 years after receiving a Ph. D., who is interested in the study of zoology and is occupying a position which could normally be considered that of a post-doctoral fellow.
Any ordinary member in good standing may, upon retirement from a professional position, become an emeritus member.
A person interested in the field of zoology but who does not hold a research position in a university or a government or industrial laboratory and is not a graduate student. Upon application to the Executive Committee of Council, institutions (libraries, natural history societies) may be granted associate membership.
